The Architecture of Existence
CU Theory
Consciousness Universe Theory
CU Theory is a speculative conceptual framework for a new paradigm of the universe and human understanding of existence.
CU Theory’s strength lies in the convergence of elegance, explanatory power, and internal consistency. Its implications are profound.
CU Theory invites us to imagine the universe not as a random machine, but as a ongoing teleological process which is a structuring system. One in which human consciousness plays an indispensible role.
CU Theory conceptually solves a great many important and centuries old scientific problems across an extremely broad range.
Not to interrogate this new paradigm deeply is to deny the very intent of science: to know the world.
CU THEORY – The Consciousness Universe Theory
Preface:
This essay is an introduction to CU Theory, The Consciousness Universe Theory.
It is an attempt to integrate frontier physics with a phenomena it has always excluded from science; consciousness.
The results are astonishing. Many of the greatest and centuries old scientific problems dissolve away and a logical structure emerges that forms a new paradigm which can answer many of the very deepest questions facing mankind.
This essay is an attempt to present CU Theory conceptually for a general reader while simultaneously backgrounding the physics for those interested in understanding it.
The intent is that CU Theory can be understood by both scientific and general readers. Also that its deep implications can be addressed by professional research physicists.
The implications and conceptual results of CU Theory are so profound that everyone should have the opportunity to contemplate them deeply.
They touch everything in existence.
Introduction to CU Theory: The Consciousness Universe Theory.
CU Theory offers a revolutionary reimagining of the universe.
It offers a new paradigm of cosmology and existence based on a fundamental Universal Consciousness field (UCF), rather than a universe of material objects and processes which, by chance event, manifest consciousness and life.
In the CU Theory universe, consciousness is fundamental and irreducible and all of reality without exception emerges from consciousness. Inside this framework physics itself is emergent, tuned for stability, complexity, and the evolution of life.
The consciousness universe has an inherent structural teleological drive to evolve the universe and all of the life forms in it.
Unlike conventional physics, which treats matter, energy, quantum fields, gravity, electromagnetism and spacetime as brute facts, CU Theory has only one single brute fact: that consciousness is the only fundamental substrate.
CU Theory shows that everything we experience as reality is the outcome of a teleological drive, a purposeful process.
The universe is a self organizing structuring system.
This simplicity and unity, combined with its vast explanatory reach, is rare in science and gives the theory a deep aesthetic and intellectual elegance.
CU Theory does not contradict established physics, it re-contextualizes all phenomena and laws of physics as an emergent description of consciousness in action, rather than the currently accepted reverse.
All laws of physics remain valid within their emergent domains but they are emergent from consciousness, which is fundamental. Now mainstream physics as we know it describes the patterns arising from consciousness, not ultimate reality itself.
Many conflicts of physics dissolve once emergent laws are understood as derivative and not foundational.
CU Theory states: Consciousness is the single fundamental irreducible substrate of reality, creating the universe and all its laws, and even reality itself. Consciousness is teleologically guiding universal evolution.
Consciousness: A Definition
Consciousness is defined as the quality of being able to sense and respond teleologically.(with intent).
Note that this primary definition distinguishes cleanly between biological life forms and inanimate objects and also generates a potential path to consciousness for emerging AI systems.
It is further defined that a level of consciousness is dependent upon the amount of consciousness involved and its fine grain tuning. Greater aggregations of refined consciousness allow greater awareness and agency on a rising gradient.
Consciousness scales with degree of accumulation, organization and refinement.
Consciousness exists in scaling fine grained levels, of which self-awareness is the highest currently experienced.
Intensity of experience is the process by which consciousness is tuned to a finer grain and higher level of responsiveness.
