Scotland Needs Its Own Money To Make Its Own Scotland
It
is knowingly dishonest of English owned anti-Scottish newspapers in Scotland to
deliberately blame the SNP for not fixing the social problems caused
by Westminster. Problems such as NHS, education, housing, social poverty etc.
The
SNP frequently declare the desire to fix all these. And in fact they are all running better than they do in England.
But
devolved or not, fixing these things obviously costs money, and all
devolved Scottish governments of every party are completely dependent on receiving
annual pocket money from England.
This is the Westminster English law and the Westminster English rules of devolution.
This
money (The Block ‘Grant’), comes from the tax and oil revenues of
Scotland itself and is around 8% of the actual revenues Scotland’s
oil and wind energy produces.
Scotland
pays itself 8% of its own wealth. And gives the rest to England.
The
money returned by England is never enough to fix the ever increasing
disrepair of Scotland caused by Westminster incompetence and greed.
Neither the
SNP, nor any Scottish government, can change this except via
independence.
Without
independence Scotland will never have enough money to gain a standard
of living equal to its massive natural wealth. As Norway has.
It is impossible for the SNP to fix Scotland while England holds all the purse strings and is so
lacking in generosity.
All the Scottish based, English controlled, newspapers, television, and
the Westminster ‘Scottish’ political parties know this perfectly
well.
They just want to attack the SNP in order to prevent support for independence growing.
But some of the Scottish resident public believe this deliberate Unionist
disinformation against the SNP and Scottish government. Because they fail to understand what is behind it.
Scotland needs its own money to make its own Scotland.
